LED neon light is a low pressure cold cathode glow discharge lamp. Its structure and components provide guarantee for normal glow discharge, and the working material makes it possible to obtain the required light color.
LED neon light is composed of lamp tube and high voltage transformer. The lamp tube is composed of glass tube and electrode chamber. The electrode chamber is composed of an electrode, a mica sheet (or a porcelain ring) and an electrode lead. The glass tube is filled with working gas, and some of the inner walls of the glass tube are coated with phosphor. High voltage transformer has two types: magnetic leakage transformer and electronic transformer. It is an essential component for lighting neon tubes.

The main functions of glass tube are filling working gas, connecting two electrodes and transmitting visible light. Common neon glass tubes include exposed tube, powder tube and color tube.

The electrode is used to emit electrons and collect electrons and positive ions. It is made of metal with resistance to positive ion bombardment, high melting point and easy to emit electrons.
